Spring Shad Fishing Seminar
March 21 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pmFree
Sign-up today to attend our Spring Shad Fishing Seminar
Tim Keebler, PA Licensed Charter Boat and Fishing Guide, will share his knowledge of shad fishing both from boat and land. Tim has extensive experience fishing on the Delaware River during one of the largest American shad sea-to-river spawning rituals.
While this is NOT a fly fishing seminar, we know that many of our fly fishers also enjoy chasing after our Delaware River Shad.
Shad are anadromous which means they live primarily in salt water and spawn in fresh water. Even when blocked by floods, dams, and other man-made blockages, shad return as close as possible to their place of birth.
The seminar will touch on the history of shad along with a focus on:Techniques on fishing from boat and on land
- Equipment – what type rods and reels
- Lures, bait, etc.
- Anchoring tactics and positioning
- Downriggers and Dipsy Set-ups
- Proper handling of the fish
You can reserve your seat by using the RSVP form below. The seminar is free but space is limited.
