Stream Report Compliments of Sky Blue Outfitters
See above, Dropper-Hopper. Isonychia have just started. With Caddis around. Sunny days needed to get things going. Fish can be found throughout. The other streams in SEPA are in great shape too. Try Valley, Perkiomen. Good time to check out the less popular creeks such as Maiden Creek. Maiden should have a good holdover population with some wild browns.
Running over 350cfs. Could fish good with streamers. Water at this level for days. Water Temp perfect. Wading could be an issue.
Lehigh River Valley
Streams and river all running high. Should be clear. Wading will be limited. Little Lehigh would be my choice.
We were out guiding and fishing last weekend and had good fishing. See photos below. Water was high but clear. Get the nymph down quick. We fished Big Fishing Creek, Spring and Penns. Hatches were not heavy but we had Caddis (Apple), BWO and Isonychia around. Taylor, Dave R, Dave A and myself will be guiding later this week and weekend on the Little J, Penns, Pine and Spring. More to come.
Pine Creek Valley
Water is high. Western creeks (kettle) a good choice. Water clearing and dropping. Caddis for dries. Look for BWO’s Brook trout time.
Brian Shumaker is out on the river this weekend. We will see what he says on Monday.
Dave Rothrock was up on the river with Douglass Pro Staff outing and landed some large King Salmon. Fishing is really good.
